Welcome to the new School of Occupational Therapy and Social Work

There is exciting news to announce...

As of 1 July 2008, the School of Occupational Therapy and the Department of Social Work and Social Policy will merge
to become the School of Occupational Therapy and Social Work - offering splendid opportunities for students, staff
and the clinical community.

In particular this initiative will strengthen research efforts, further develop strategic partnerships with hospitals
and health agencies and improve the quality of academic programs available to students.

To assist with the change planning has been underway to ensure a smooth transition and with minimal impact for students and staff.
In summary:

  • Students from Social Work and Social Policy are to continue to seek advice from the Faculty of Humanities Student Services Office until further notice.

  • At a later date, staff from Social Work and Social Policy will relocate to Building 401.

  • Social Work and Social Policy will be a Department within the School of Occupational Therapy and Social Work.
It is an exciting time for staff and students and we look forward to bringing forward the many benefits that our new School will offer.
